The long-term aim of this project is to decrease schoolchildren’s behavior problems, risk behavior and dropping out of school by better networking on community level and regular prevention.

The main purpose of this project: the community in Võru city and Antsla parish will be significantly more involved in preventing and solving the problems by creating a network of adults surrounding the youth with risk-taking behavior. The local government specialists, members of the board of management at school, teachers and parents in 2 different areas will have a better knowledge of how to create an effective cross-sectoral child-centered network with the help of regular prevention and intervention. The information about the whole service will have reached new partners by systematic information sharing and marketing.

The project will include counseling for 2 different schools and for the local government workers in Võru city and Antsla parish. During this project the 4 subservices of the whole service will be developed and new potential partners will be found by information sharing and marketing.
As a result of this project a new service will be created in Võru city and Antsla parish, that will include:
– developing a cross-sectoral child-centered network of adults dealing with youth with risk-taking behavior in two different local governments
– regular prevention on different levels at the same time (teachers, class teachers, parents, students)

The whole service will focus on teaching and sharing the knowledge and skills needed for maintaining cooperation and shaping the attitudes of network members (family members, headmasters, teachers and local government child and youth care workers) and also developing different ways of cooperation that suit the people in the network.
